If you pay attention to interior design trends, you may have noticed the resurgence of
malachite over the past several months, as featured in shelter magazines and on design blogs. While the stone's color is a beautiful, marbled emerald green, I tend to associate it with the decade that brought us
Miami Vice,
Jem & The Holograms,
Members Only jackets, and all things
neon. However, I've noticed that I don't hate the stone/pattern when used as an accent, such as for a jewelry box or pillows. Not sure I could make the leap to
wallpaper or an area
rug, and certainly not a
dress, but it's growing on me.
